Exacore's INKS Software Platform Inter-Networked Knowledge Services (INKS) is a software platform designed to deliver IT services with expert functions and data access spanning many computing environments and devices. Exacore's INKS software platform uses modules for specific applications in defense and homeland security. BiRDS, an electronic countermeasure for IEDs, uses INKS global web services in wireless environments. INKS is a low-cost infrastructure solution that offers the opportunity to leverage existing technology investments and installations in order to simplify integration across the boundaries of organizations and networks. INKS is based on a 4-tier system architecture which delivers remote applications to a thin-client and provides services and information from disparate systems in diverse organizations. INKS features include Secure Single Sign On, Web Services Manager, LDAP client, Authoring Tool, Report Viewer, Report Generator, Resource Manager, Offline Client, XML repository and many other features. INKS allows various parties to engage with their own web services providers and creates standard interfaces that permit all these services to inter-operate smoothly. In other words, instead of procuring software and its requisite platforms each party would contract for process functionality and data services. |
